Whether you’re looking for a nostalgic dessert or a comforting breakfast treat, these beloved recipes are sure to add warmth and flavor to your holiday celebration.

🥧 Audrey’s Grandma Minnie’s Famous Peanut Butter Pie

A nostalgic, no-fuss dessert with creamy filling and irresistible peanut butter crumbs—this pie has been passed down through Audrey’s family for generations.

Pie Crust Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup oil
2 tablespoons water

Peanut Butter Crumbs Ingredients:
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
Instructions:
Mix the powdered sugar and peanut butter like you would for pie crumbs.
Press 2/3 of this mixture into the bottom of the baked pie crust.
Add your filling, then top with Cool Whip, followed by the remaining peanut butter crumb mixture.

Pie Filling Ingredients:
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
Pinch of salt
3 egg yolks (beaten)
2 cups milk or cream
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
Stir the sugar, cornstarch, salt, egg yolks, milk (or cream), butter, and vanilla together in a pan.
Place the mixture on the stove over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook until the mixture thickens (it will bubble, so be careful not to get burned). Once thickened, take it off the stove.
Place 2/3 of the peanut butter crumb mixture into the baked pie crust.
Pour the cream filling on top, then add the remaining 1/3 of the peanut butter crumbs.
Top with Cool Whip and refrigerate before serving.

Tip: It helps to cool the pudding and then mix it again with a hand-held beater to create a better texture before putting it over the crumbs.

🍴 Bob’s Famous Cinnamon Rolls

These soft, gooey cinnamon rolls with a buttery brown sugar glaze are a quick crowd-pleaser—perfect for slow holiday mornings.

Ingredients

  • 2 (17.5 oz) cans of refrigerated jumbo cinnamon rolls (with icing)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, softened or thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • Optional for icing: extra vanilla extract + a pinch of cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 °F.
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish (or similar) with non‐stick spray or melted butter.
  3. Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and arrange them in the baking dish, leaving a little space between each so they can expand.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Pour the heavy cream evenly over and around the cinnamon rolls so the cream pools around them (not just on top).
  6. Drizzle the brown sugar mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  7. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for about 45 minutes.
  8. While the rolls are still warm, take the icing packet that came with the rolls (or use your own), and squeeze over the top of the cinnamon rolls
  9. Spread the icing over the warm rolls. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
We hope these two team favorites—our rich Peanut Butter Pie and warm, melt-in-your-mouth Cinnamon Rolls—add a little extra flavor to your Thanksgiving week. From all of us at Sandy Feet VR, wishing you a cozy, joy-filled holiday.
